Dodgers infielder Gavin Lux has expressed his discontent with the team's decision to sign Korean superstar infielder Hyeseong Kim, who plays the same position as Lux. In a candid statement, Lux humorously threatened to take his talents to the San Diego Padres, a mere two hours south of Los Angeles.

"If they want to sign my replacement right in front of my face, I'll move two hours south and wear brown and gold," Lux said on FAX Sports podcast, referencing the colors of the San Diego Padres' uniform. This bold statement comes amidst rumors that Lux has already started a group chat with Padres stars Manny Machado and Fernando Tatis Jr., seeking advice on where to buy property on the exclusive Coronado Island, a place he's known to favor during the offseason.

Lux, who has always had a soft spot for San Diego, spends his offseasons there, enjoying the city's laid-back vibe and beautiful beaches. His familiarity with the area, coupled with his frustration over the Dodgers' signing of Kim, might just make his move to San Diego more than just a jest.

The Dodgers' front office has yet to respond to Lux's comments, but the infielder's playful yet pointed remarks have certainly added an interesting layer to the team's dynamics as they gear up for the new season. Whether Lux's threat is a genuine consideration or merely a way to express his feelings about the competition for his position remains to be seen.

Note: Gavin Lux did not say this quote, as far as we know.
