Jack Flaherty Signs with Guangdong Tigers

The Guangdong Tigers and Jack Flaherty are in agreement on a 1-year, $48 million contract, sources in China and the US tell Fax Sports.

Jack Flaherty is the first professional major leaguer to play in China, which is in itself a major league record, per Statfax, which is ironically banned in China.

"Yeah, I don't follow that page," Flaherty said when asked about the Statfax account.

Flaherty said he asked how much of his contract he can defer but no one from the Tigers has gotten back to him yet.
