BREAKING: Japanese pitching phenom Roki Sasaki has decided to take his talents to the Great White North, signing a monumental 10-year, $210 million deal with the Toronto Blue Jays, per FAX Sports' senior insider Tom Dung. The Blue Jays threw everything they had at Sasaki, desperate to outbid the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres, who were also in hot pursuit of the young ace.

Sasaki, speaking to reporters shortly after putting pen to paper, said, "I thought Ohtani's plane landed here," referencing his confusion over the Blue Jays not also being able to sign current Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani, who has had a busy offseason himself.

The reaction from the Blue Jays' locker room was one of sheer excitement and disbelief. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. exclaimed, "I can't believe we got him. Seriously, I can't believe it." Meanwhile, Bo Bichette shared his astonishment, "I was sure he was going to LA or San Diego. I'm still leaving, though."

On the other side, the atmosphere in the Dodgers' camp was one of frustration and disbelief. Freddie Freeman vented, "We had everything set. How did we miss out on this?" Dodgers' front office executive, Andrew Friedman, was equally baffled, "We offered a competitive deal with 100% deferrals. It's a real shock he chose Toronto over us."

In San Diego, the reaction was mixed but ultimately relieved. Manny Machado of the Padres, known for his candidness, let out a sigh of relief, "I'm just glad he didn't go to LA. F*ck the Dodgers."

"This is for Toronto," Blue Jays fan ambassador Drake tweeted, adding, "We finally got our big fish."

This move has reshaped the landscape of MLB free agency, with the Blue Jays significantly bolstering their rotation with one of the brightest young talents in the game. Fans in Toronto are buzzing with anticipation for what Sasaki can bring to the team, and the rest of the league is left wondering how this unexpected twist will play out in the upcoming seasons.

Note: Roki Sasaki did not actually sign with the Blue Jays, as far as we know.
